Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) is the most common cause of end- stage renal disease. Albuminuria is the foremost commonly ÆµÆ?Å¯ÅÂÇ?Ä?Ä? marker to Ä?nÆ?cÅÂÆ?Ä?Æ?Ä? onset of Ä?ÅÂÄ?bÄ?Æ?c nephropathy (DN) without ÆÂÆµÄ¸cÅÂÄ?nÆ? Ä?Ä«Ä?cÆ?Ä?bÅÂÅ¯ÅÂÆ?Ç? and ÆÂÆ?Ä?cÅÂÄ®cÅÂÆ?Ç? to ÅÂÄ?Ä?nÆ?Ä¨Ç? early DN. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate plasma Plasma cyclophilin A (CypA) as a new biomarker for early DN. Methods: This cross ÆÂÄ?cÆ?Å½nÄ?Å¯ study included 125 ÅÂÇ?Æ?Æ?Ä?n subjects Ä?Æ©Ä?nÄ?ÅÂnÅÂ the out WÄ?Æ?Ä?nÆ?ÆÂ Clinic of the Department of Internal Medicine, 10Th of Ramadan city Health Insurance Hospital and divided into:-control group, Æ?Ä?Æ?Ä?nÆ? with Ä?ÅÂÄ?bÄ?Æ?c mellitus, Æ?Ä?Æ?Ä?nÆ?ÆÂ with ÅÂÄ?bÄ?Æ?c nephropathy and Æ?Ä?Æ?Ä?nÆ? with Ä?ÅÂÄ?bÄ?Æ?c nephropathy and other cÅ½mÆ?Å¯ÅÂcÄ?Æ?Å½nÆÂÍ? WÄ?Æ?Ä?nÆ?ÆÂ were subjected to measurement of plasma α- Klotho, FBS, HbAIC, serum rÄ?Ä?Æ?nÅÂnÄ?Í? serum urea, serum uric acid, k, Na, serum phosphorus, Albumin: rÄ?Ä?Æ?nÅÂnÄ? ZÄ?Æ?Å½Í? GFR, Chol, TG, LDL HDL, AST, ALT, T.BIL, D.BIL ALB, TP, GLB and A/G rÄ?Æ?Å½Í? Results: Results showed that plasma a-klotho was ÆÂÅÂÅÂnÅÂÄ®cÄ?nÆ?Å¯Ç? correlated with haemoglobin A1C, potassium, GFR, Albumin, TP and GLB. Meanwhile, plasma a- klotho was nÄ?ÅÂÄ?Æ?Ç?Ä?Å¯Ç? correlated with Ä?ÆµrÄ?Æ?Å½n of DM, CR, Urea, UR.A, Na, phosphorus, ACR, Chol, TG, LDL, AST, ALT, T.BIL, and D.BIL. However, there were no ÆÂÅÂÅÂnÅÂÄ®cÄ?nÆ? cÅ½rrÄ?Å¯Ä?Æ?Å½nÆÂ between plasma a-klotho and FBS, HDL and A/G rÄ?Æ?Å½Í? At cÆµÆ?Í²Å½Ä« level ≥84.14, cyclophilin A had 91% ÆÂÄ?nÆÂÅÂÆ?Ç?ÅÂÆ?Ç? and 62% ÆÂÆ?Ä?cÅÂÄ®cÅÂÆ?Ç? for diagnosing Ä?ÅÂÄ?bÄ?Æ?c nephropathy. Conclusion: CypA can be used as an early marker for DN as we found early ÆÂÅÂÅÂnÅÂÄ®cÄ?nÆ? high levels of urinary CypA in Ä?ÅÂÄ?bÄ?Æ?c Æ?Ä?Æ?Ä?nÆ?ÆÂ with stage 2 DN even before the appearance of albuminuria.
